I received this and as an eARC to read for free in exchange for my honest review. Thank you Heather Kindt for giving me access.

This story is just as fast paced as the first and I didn't want to put it down...In fact, I didn't put it down!

I might be biased, but this one was better and will probably be my favorite because there is a reference to the Queen of Hearts. And frankly, this whole world behind the Red Door gave me Wonderland vibes.

The development between the characters is getting interesting and I can't wait to see what happens in the next with them. I also love how Heather gives a new voice to female MCs and minor characters. It's not always "woe is me, save me" or "I don't need a man", she has a healthy balance of both because we all need a little help some times.

I am curious to see what The White Door will bring. I am sure more battles and challenges. Maybe a realization or two??

The Red Door is an exciting addition to The Eternal Artifacts series! After I finished The Green Door, the first book in the series, I couldn’t wait to follow Meg, Carter, and Brek on their next adventure. In this book, Meg, Carter, and Brek’s story picks up as the trio graduates from high school and prepares to enter the red door. As in the first book, if they retrieve a specific object, they will receive a monetary reward. However, the stakes are raised. Now, anyone who succeeds wins double the original award. The intensity level is higher than ever as Meg, Brek, and Carter enter a dangerous and deadly world.

The world behind the red door is so different from the world behind the green door. The Queen has a magical enchantment over her kingdom. Almost everyone in the kingdom of Rushna falls under her narcissistic spell. Those who don’t formed a rebellion and think that Meg might be the key to usurping the queen.

This is such an exciting and action-packed story! The moment Meg, Brek, and Carter go through the red door, they are faced with conflict. From resisting the Queen’s magical enchantment to helping the rebels fulfill a prophecy to dealing with their complicated feelings, this trio sure has their work cut out for them! It’s a bit darker than the first book, and I suspect that subsequent books in the series will continue down this darker and more dangerous path. It makes sense that, as the rewards increase, the tasks will become more dangerous.

I really enjoyed how Meg, Carter, and Brek grow throughout the story. Meg, in particular, seems to have a few epiphanies about herself and how her mother’s abandonment affected and continues to affect her. Brek is becoming more of a leader, and Carter seems to have matured a bit from his experiences behind the green door. It will be interesting to see how their characters grow and change in future books, especially regarding their romantic feelings.

This is a great example of doing the love triangle trope well. Meg is so conflicted in her feelings for Carter and Brek, and, frankly, I am too. She has such a strong connection with Brek, and I think her feelings run deeper than she knows. However, she is also drawn to Carter. There are times in the story when I felt sure Carter was not the one for her, and then I quickly changed my mind as the story progressed. I think I’m just as confused as Meg since both guys are great for her in different ways.

The Red Door is a great book for readers who enjoy fast-paced young adult fantasy with a sassy protagonist and excellent world-building. I can’t wait to see what’s behind the white door! I have a few predictions. Thanks so much to the author for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

THE RED DOOR! Even better than the first. This series keeps sucking me back in! I wanted to ignore everything and read this book, But final exam week wouldn’t let me.
Vast & different Worlds hidden behind colored doors. Each holds an adventure and prizes to be won.
Meg, Brek and Carter work together to save a country from the rule of Evil Queen Athena, who has major Queen of Hearts vibes.
Meg fights to free the people from the grasp of Athena, while also fighting to make sense of her ever changing life. Also, dying over the love triangle. I was a huge Carter Reyes fan in the green door, but NOW I NEED MEG WITH BREK!
I cannot wait for the White Door! Do yourself a favor and fall in love with this series!

Thank you to Heather Kindt for letting me read this copy early! ♥️

I really enjoyed this book! I enjoyed reading about the Red door adventures more than the Green door adventures so I really liked this book's storyline. I also think Megan's relationship with Carter developed better in this book. I now ship the entire trio! But still mostly Meg and Brek so fingers crossed something happens in the next book. I can't wait to see how everybody's relationships evolve in the next book too. I really liked the idea of Athena and her pheromones, that was a unique plotline. Overall a really entertaining book!

Leído gracias a la autora (English below! :D)

¡Y me gustó mucho Esme! Ella, su historia y su desarrollo ❤

Thank you to the author for the eARC!

I really enjoyed this second books of the series!

I had a few issues with the first one that thankfully I got to talk with the author. "The Reed Door" was fun and its story really interesting, and I enjoyed both the world behind the door and the new and old characters. I still don't really like Carter and I'm half-there with Brek, but I liked Meg in this one! She had really brave, vulnerable and desperate moments, and I think she grew as a character but at the same time she's still a teenager full of angst and sooooo much drama!

I don't 100% feel the male characters, so the love triangle still doesn't sit right with me, but I think other readers will enjoy it.

I loved reading some of the old characters getting together and interacting with the new ones! And really liked Esme, her story and development.

Easily bingeable, filled with mystery, and you never know who you'll run into next!

This is book 2 and I still love the whole concept of the series. Who wouldn't want to jump through doors to different worlds and win money?!

Meg is definitely a Gryffindor. She starts the door for a selfish reason, but just can't help herself and needs to help right things in the world.

The story kept me flipping because I needed to know what happened next. All the points were there for something amazing but it needed to be strung together a little better. It felt like we didn't work up to and deserve the emotional pay offs.

The boys, Brek and Carter, flip-flopped in decisions and attitude a lot which made me frustrated, but teenage boys can be frustrating over all. I would love to know more about Carter's motivations. He's keeping secrets. Why is he there? Why does he want to be with Meg? Their relationship is still a secret to their world, why are they hiding it if he loves her?

I could see the ending of Rushna's story a mile away, but it was fine because I LOVED Esme. She was the best character in the book, and she deserves so much better than Satchel.

I'm excited for book 3 because I need answers! Why is this whole game set up? I can't wait to know!
