My first words after finishing this book were: that was not a light read.

This books covers some really heavy subject matter, but it was a fast read. I didn't want to put it down because I wanted to know what was going to happen and how it would all end.

While this book is a suspense/thriller, my feelings after finishing were mostly those of sadness. Most of the time, people don't give much thought to their words, thinking they hold no weight, but this story shows that sometimes just the wrong words can be the final straw for someone.

Even after finishing the story, I feel a bit conflicted about some of the characters because, while the goodness and badness of some people is more black and white than others, there are still shades of gray.

Sometimes books are easy to put down and walk away from and forget, but I have a feeling this is going to be one of those books that I find myself thinking about often.

This was a super fast read, and it was super engaging.

With a limited cast of characters, it was fairly easy to figure out who was who.

This has three different narrators--sometimes competing and sometimes cooperating to tell their story.

I love the suspense of the book. Amazing read for young adults who love a good mystery/suspenseful book

I think I would have liked this alot more if I'd read it as a teenager. Not a bad quick read, but not something I want to keep on the bookshelf.

Told from three viewpoints: Cass MacBride, her kidnapper, and the lead detective investigating her disappearance. This is typical Gail Giles fodder- a tense situation, dramatic turns of events, and an ending that may shock you or fail to provide a neat and tidy wrap up of events. It's worth reading and teens should go for it.
