I'm honestly kind of upset that this was my first book of 2022 because I feel like I may have just read my favorite book of the year right off the bat and now nothing will live up to it. I loved this book! I loved the characters, I love the authors style of writing and the way it made me feel like I was on that beautiful greek island with them. I never saw the ending coming even when I was sure I knew it. One of those books where you're truly sad when it's over because you're going to miss hearing about the characters lives. Easy 5 stars! Huge thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for my pre-release copy in exchange for my honest review.

Lucy Clarke…. She’s quickly becoming one of my fav thriller authors. Just.. wow! I admit she’s excellent in creating red herrings! And though I guessed one mystery right very quickly, I missed so many others and was audibly gasping and talking to the book towards the end! It’s such a fantastic read and I highly recommend it! Also, always remember the third and most important rule: what happens at the hen party, stays there! 🤐🤐

I usually find the style of multiple perspectives or timelines switching back and forth to be difficult to keep track of. However, it worked well for this novel! There were many enjoyable twists, most of which I didn’t predict, which I love!

Thanks to netgalley for the arc ebook.
A slow burner to start, it finishes ablaze!
Showing the complexities of female friendships, the characters are really well written. I really enjoyed this one and found the conclusion very satisfying!

great read! the short chapters had me not wanting to put the book down.
Spoiler eleonor, ana and fen were my favorites!! robyn was pretty greeat too. couldn’t stand bella. she was a fucking child. the constant need for lexi’s validation had me wanting to reach out through the page and strangle her myself. i kept waiting for someone to finally snap and punch her so hard in the face!
lexi i didn’t really care too much about. honestly, despite the constant reminders of the kind of person she was, i found her to be quite bland. after ed dies, eleanor reaches out to her but lexi never answers. she cut her out of her life?? that was fucked up. i know she was grieving and yes el was the reason ed died but she’s been through so much and could’ve used some compassion and empathy. lexi found out just how wrong she was about ed, saw the kind of man he was and yet she doesn’t reach out??
