This book should be required reading for everyone in the US who interacts with the school system, especially parents and public school teachers.

Judy's life is such a testament to the amazing things we are capable of if we just listen to one another and work together to make our world a better place.
This book was informative but also engaging and spirited. I loved learning about how people came together to speak out and pave the way for so many necessary changes that had to take place within our government to bring more equity to the people in our country.

She played a huge role in disability legislation and I learned a lot about what happened behind the scenes for the disability rights movement. My only issue was that I felt she could’ve made this book much longer, added more detail, and made the timeline more clear. The transitions were abrupt sometimes and I got confused about what was happening when. But this is a quick and informative read and it felt like an homage to her to read it a year after her passing.

A great read to understand the disability civil rights movement and why we must continue to advance and support the movement
