Lovely illustrations. Rhymes. I imagined Katie's house the whole time.

The picture where the groundhog is hiding inside a hollow log and the greyhound is gracefully bent to peer inside just sells this for me. If I weren't sold already on the tripping language and engaging critters.

The art is just beautiful- I'm a sucker for watercolors (and greyhounds, come to think about it). The "story" is less exciting to me- just a tongue-twister, really. But very cute illustrations.

Chris Appelhaus' illustrations go perfectly with the feel of the book.

A definite tongue-twister to read aloud. I don't love the story, though I also don't know the inspiration from the dedication, so I may be missing something, but the illustrations are fabulous with a playful feel.

This book is perfect for read aloud! It will have your tongue tied & twisted as you follow the antics of a greyhound & groundhog. A simple story that is brought to life by the stellar watercolor illustrations! The illustrations are gorgeous & absolutely aid in the telling of the story! Can't wait to share this with my students next year and add to my picture book collection.

Beautiful and lyrically interesting. No story, but do you always need one?

Tongue-twister picture book, which I read aloud to the cats. I giggled throughout.

The art is adorable, but I couldn't fall in love with the story. I think kids would have a lot of fun with this book though.
