i want this book to be adapted so bad.

kiko, who will never be enough at her mother’s eyes, who got treated differently at anyone in her school just because her origin, decided to follow her childhood friend to California, in hopes to find her true self.

if ur looking for something where you can feel all sorts of emotion than this is the one. this book is exquisitely unbelievable. i will keep this book close to my heart, as this book feels like a treasure ive been looking for so long and im beyond grateful that i finally found it.

Wow. I wish I had had this book 15 years ago. Right on par with The Perks of Being a Wallflower in how much this touched me. Absolutely stunning. My favorite read of 2020 so far.

Great mental health rep, but I have many conflicting thoughts about Starfish
Random thought: why is the cover a jellyfish?
