ok so despite one of the main plot points of the book being abt seb being ,, deeply mormon ,, it never went fr into detail so it still felt like a light read~
felt perhaps a bit two dimensional at times but im also not the target audience here i thought it was cute n fun

I just finished this book and.... wow!
Okay, so going into this one I had no knowledge except I absolutely adored the cover and have read one of the authors' other books 'The Unhoneymooners' (4 stars, good for a hetero romance).
This book had such an unpredictable plot, usually with romances I can tell how they'll end, but not this one! I had never heard of the terms LDS or Mormon before, so that religion was interesting to learn about. Being a romance-centred book, we don't really receive anything else but events that matter in Tanner and Sebastian's relationship. I like how Tanner's feelings were immediately reciprocated, without any slow burn. We don't get to see that enough in romances.
Tanner was such a sweet protagonist, and Sebastian was such a deep character. Both had their flaws, which added to how much I enjoyed reading about them. Autumn was such a great character, but I wish we'd known more about Tanner's other friends such as Manny. Tanner's parents were so supportive of his bisexuality, it was so lovely!
Overall, a great YA romance!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨️ 4.5/5 stars!

I enjoyed the contrast of the contradictions of religion with how it treats homosexuality, being restrictive while saying God loves you not for who you are but who you align yourself to be.
With such a major focus on Mormons and the LDS, I wish the religious elements felt less surface level? I feel like it was missing something.
