Δεν είναι η πιο αξιομνημόνευτη από τις ιστορίες της. Μια γυναίκα, ύστερα από παρότρυνση της φίλης της, εξιστορεί στην κόρη της δεύτερης τις ατυχίες της ζωής σε μια σειρά επιστολών. Σάτιρα ή/και ιστορία για παραδειγματισμό. Έρωτας, τραγωδία και φιλία θα ήταν πιο ολοκληρωμένος τίτλος. Είναι σημαντικό να σημειωθεί ότι η Austen το έγραψε αυτό όταν ήταν πολύ μικρή.
Not the most memorable of her stories. A woman, at the urging of her friend, recounts to the latter's daughter the misfortunes of life in a series of letters. It reads like a satire and/or a cautionary tale. Love, tragedy and friendship would have been a more complete title. It's important to note that Austen wrote this when she was really young.

Desculpa Jane Austen, esse eu vou ficar devendo um pouco...
Não gostei tanto desse livro como os outros mas entendo que é uma das primeiras obras da autora e tá tudo bem, não diminuiu nem um pouco o apreço que tenho por sua escrita.
Algumas histórias acontecem rápido demais o que me deixou perdida e outras que são apenas por cartas me deu um pouquinho de tédio (kkkkkkkk) mas de certa forma foi uma leitura razoável para passar o tempo.

This is interesting. It's written very much in Austen's style but it is definitely not as refined as her other works. I enjoyed her words but wasn't captivated by any of the story lines.
