Mr. Beau McRae ... let m tell you a little about him. He gets himself into a whole lot of trouble!! He is sexy as sin with a voice as smooth as whiskey who wouldn't fall for this country bad boy? His cocky little antics and his innuendo just had me turning the pages faster than my kindle could keep up!!
And Miss Addy Mae Masterson had sweet and sexy sass written all over her, even if Mr. McRae makes her all flustered!
These 2 had chemistry that just jumped off the pages.. whew I needed a fan!!
I'll never think of watermelon the same way again.. I need me a Texan boy asap!!!
I gotta give it to Mandi Beck. She knows what her readers like and she delivers in a big way!! This book was fun, funny sexy, scorching hot!!

3.5-4 stars
5 stars narration

This was a really fun and sexy audiobook. It is narrated wonderfully by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross, who have quickly become my favorite narrating team. Sugar is a stand alone, but does feature characters in Mandi Beck's previous book, Stoned.

I loved Addy! She can be all business and no nonsense when she needs to, but then she's also awkward and hilarious. Her reaction to the Sheriff was THE BEST and had me laughing out loud! I liked Addy pretty much right away, but it took a bit more for Beau to grow on me. It wasn't until later in the story that I could see past his womanizing ways and really see the man underneath.

I also really loved Scarlet! She was like the little devil perched on your shoulder while Willow was more the angel. #Squadgoals for sure. Kai Kennicott's performance was perfect! I loved hearing the southern accents and Wen and Kai completely nailed Beau and Addy. They always bring such emotion and feeling to the story and their narration really made this book.

Sugar definitely made me laugh a lot! That road head scene was absolutely hysterical! Throw in all the silly and flirty banter between Beau, Addy, and all the supporting characters and it made for a truly entertaining audiobook! Overall, this was a fun and sexy story, but it was Wen and Kai's narration that really sold me.

Welcome to Hard Candy Records!

I really enjoyed Sugar. It is a fun reluctant-ish romance. Beau is the bad boy of country music, who after a tragic loss starts acting out even more. Addy is one of the top movers and shakers at Hard Candy Records. Imagine what happens when Beau is signed to HCR and Addy is put in charge of being his baby sitter. Things are tense to say the least. The question is... is the tension attraction or is it just plain old conflicting personalities?

I loved the tension between Beau & Addy from the very start. I loved the ups and downs of their relationship as friends, and as more. I also enjoyed that even though this is a standalone it's actually part of the Wrecked series world. Needed another visit with the Wrecked crew, and this was perfect.

If you like reluctant romance, where the couple plans to remain just friends with some extra benefits... then this is the story for you!

This book is awesome!

This book has it all! The banter, the romance (I need me a river!), the tender more serious moments, the humor (it will take me a while to look at watermelon normally again). I wasn't expecting this book to deliver the way it did. Once I started, I couldn't put it down.
