Loved the idea behind the story, young girl travelling with a horror carnival so she can rid the world of evil 1 'demon' at a time in her little doll house of horrors... however, i didn't like the sexual gore, sex near mutilated bodies or sexual arousal while mutilating bodies.

I might come back and try to read it again... but for now I DNF.

A baptism of spicy booktok fire šŸ”„ šŸŒ¶ļø  no spoilers but there is a strong possibility of losing oneā€™s stomach contents whilst reading this. Never sure ā€˜til you explore but safe to say gratuitous violence is not my spicy thangā€¦ and I still donā€™t like clowns šŸ¤” Maybe itā€™s just me getting old but I remember when demon hunting was Buffy and the Scooby Gang with geriatric Giles enjoying nice cup of tea and the occasional whiff of a shag. This is definitely not that šŸ˜‚ In saying all of this, I did develop a character crush on Sibby. Forget lads on tour in the dolls house itā€™s 100% girls run the world šŸŒ and that is what elevated this to a solid 3 stars.

Thereā€™s a good plot buried DEEP underneath the unnecessary gore and shock value of this novella. The main character is twisted with an interesting backstory but sheā€™s written poorly along with the rest. I know trigger warnings are presented by the author but I was not prepared for just how nonchalantly dark themes would be presented here. And the author makes gross generalizations about various addictions and mental illnesses. I will read the following book in the series as it is my understanding that it has little to do with this one. However, I am not expecting much.

I feel like Haunting/Hunting Adeline were better written than this spinoff. Maybe if I had read Satanā€™s Affair in between the two books I would feel differently, but then it would have given away much of Hunting Adeline. It was good, but just not as WOW as the other 2.

sibby is my spiritual guide. I love everything about this girl. she overcame such a terrible upbringing, and (even though she might not always make the best decisions) she used her pain (and crazy) for what I personally consider a good cause. I was laughing anytime she had her henchmen doing things for her,
knowing that they don't actually exist.

Honestly I read this book because I think I saw one review about it. This is not for the faint hearted let me tell you. If you hate gore in the slightest this isnā€™t for you. But when I tell you I shit my pants halfway through when none other than daddy Zade from haunting Adeline walked through the door. OML. It then all clicked that huh same author checks out oh heyyy this parts familiar and then it all fell into place. So yes if you can handle it I would definitely recommend this book.
