After reading Hunting/Haunting Adeline, this was a good addition to that story and universe. Very gorey, very sad. It was interesting getting to see Sibby's POV.

Summerween Read! 🎃

I love finding shocking things to read and stepping out of my comfort zone to try new things.. with that being said, I don't really know what to feel about this book. It was definitely a wild ride from start to finish! I found myself going "wtf am I reading???" from basically the first chapter. I guess this is technically my first official venture into Dark Romance, but I'd personally classify this book as a Horror which is what I read it as. I think the twist ending is what ultimately brought this novella up above 2 stars for me; but I'm intrigued enough to continue reading the series, so we'll see how it goes!

I loved this book. It was one of my first actual/physical dark romance book that i have ever read. The twist was honestly shocking and it devastated me to read it but the storyline is amazing to me. It does include trigger warnings and a song playlist page which is also very nice.

Hmm, I enjoyed this book for what it was. I wish I would’ve read this before Haunting and Hunting Adeline, but it was interesting to be in Sibby’s head and get an insight to how she views her henchmen. And when Zade popped up I was kicking my feet despite myself😍🤣😭

I started this book because wanted to read the cat and mouse duet however This book had me hooked and gripped from the page I wasn’t sure at first I thought it would be too gory for me but I loved it but it isn’t for the faint hearted. The smut is up there with the best smut I have read a 5 star read from me.
Can’t wait to read the next books.

I DNFd Haunting Adeline but decided to give this author another chance. While this one still has its issues I was actually able to stomach this one without wanting to throw my Kindle across the room. Carlton does lean into the stigma of hallucinatory disorders being "the voices are telling me to kill you" and not entirely touching on less stereotypical cases of these disorders. But this was still a major step up morally than Haunting Adeline so it's in the middle for me on rating.
