The writing convention was awkward but the content came through. Touching book, unapologetic characters constantly saying sorry. Good sad read.

Loved this book! At times I laughed out loud...and others I wanted to cry. So good!

Written in the style of letters there is a lot of humor in this book.

I struggled to get through the first half of this book. I didn’t love the main character who narrates and her Hollywood life didn’t interest me much and there was a LOT of details. And yet, I got to the end of the book and sobbed. And now can’t stop thinking about my own relationships. So, I guess in the end, I did like it and it has definitely left an impression - but I can’t rate it high because I spent most of the book thinking I didn’t much enjoy the book.

I found myself very disappointed in this book. First of all, I usually love stories about sisters and families. This one fell short with its trite characters and its predictability. I was initially intrigued by the storytelling through written letters and emails, but even that lost its shine quickly. Eh.

Anyone with a sister needs to read this book. I cried through a good portion of it. Light-hearted, easy read when you need a break from a gripping novel :o)

This book took me a while to finish reading. I believe that the fact that it is written in letter format made it a slow start for me. Once I got to the middle, however, it started picking up and I found the struggles and hopes expressed in those letters to be moving.

Not one of my favorites...it took me a while to get into the book. I feel like the use of letters really didn't work. I didn't connect with the characters because she didn't develop them well. I was ultimately left wanting to know more about all the people she included in the book.

This was a pretty good book. It took me a little while to start liking the main character, but ultimately I did. At the same time, I was interested right from the start about where the book was headed. I have only read a couple of correspondence-style books; it is a fun way to get into the head of the main character. It is a good summer read.

This was a light, fluff read that actually tugged at my heartstrings a bit. The whole book is from the main character's point of view, Olivia, but through her letters, emails, and faxes. I liked that aspect, although sometimes the story did feel a little one sided. But for the most part, Robinson does a good job at conveying the feelings of all the characters through Olivia's writing.
