I did not expect this book to be as emotional as it was, but it rounded out the story quite well I think!

I didn’t expect to lose so many of the cast of characters, but not every book can save every character either, they are literal children in a war with giant mechs, not everyone is going to survive.

The only problem I have with Godslayers (and also Gearbreakers) was that the books weren’t super descriptive. It tried to describe things but my brain couldn’t put together the scale or the designs of buildings, settings or even the mechs.

I did really enjoy this book though and the ending was sweet.

I think i wanted to enjoy it a lot more than i did
i loved the love story between eris and sona, but that’s pretty much all i got from this book. I couldn’t connect with the world. i also rly loved the found family aspect

i said i wasn’t sure if gearbreakers could be outdone in my gearbreakers review, but godslayers came close. both being five stars reads. the audiobook is also such an experience with this world.
