this is most definitely your jam if it's spooky szn and you're looking for a little halloween-y vibe mixed in with a bit of chaos and romance. it felt similar to hocus pocus but rated R and on crack. some of the world building had me going.. huh? and there really wasn't enough to get in touch with these characters or invest in them.
but! nevertheless, it was still a cute read that i could've gotten finished in a day if i had the time. plus, a lot of the english vocabulary that rhys used since he's from wales made me giggle (acotar fans ?? it's basically the same cocky bastard personality in warlock/teenage boy form)
some of the 'plot twists' or maybe all of them were sorta predictable to me. like i guessed what would be coming or what something meant and would be on the dot
i haven't decided if i'll be reading the sequel.. or at least i think that's what it is. we'll see.

I absolutely adored this book, it was so cute and I had no idea where it was going the whole time other than the obvious bc it’s a romance book. I loved the witchy aspect and the littles nods to Harry Potter and Halloweentown. If I could move to this town I would in a heartbeat.
