Too complicated for my reading level at the time. I wanted to read something more easily in fantasy. I read 3 Harry potter books. This was too easy so I went to the Inheritance Cycle. Currently I'm at the third book now.

I liked it much better than the previous 3 books, since it's the first time since The Last Wish where the Witcher actually does something.

While I enjoyed the continued character development, I still struggle with the writing structure of these books (maybe just the translations?). E.g., there was a scene (several pages) of a story teller and kids debating which character he's going to talk about next? Just get to the story! Sometimes I wonder if these books were ever edited.

I lost it in this book when the topic of abortion came up. There are men withholding the medicine from her until she talks to one of them and asks for it a second time. Seriously? Ugh.

That being said, I love the banter between characters and am too invested to not finish the series and see how it ends.
