Did I like, yes, especially since I picked it up for Free on Amazon. Do I like enough to spend $4.99 on book 2 for just over 200 pages? Nope! Book 1 was definitely a partial story, ending in a cliffy, and really stopped when it was just getting started. I'm putting book 2 on my maybe list, but only if I win some lotto money and can splurge on books.

Another book from my A-Z jar. I was lucky that I could listen to this one because it makes it a lot easier to get through my list faster. This was a good mafia romance that had a couple of twists in it, especially at the end of this book I did not see that one coming.

There were some moments in this book where I didn’t know what was going to happen next it overall it did keep me engaged I gave this 3.75 ⭐️ and 2.5 🌶️ Mount was something else entirely and I enjoyed every minute of it.

If you like a mafia romance with a lot of spice and a few twists this is the book for you.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed the book. It was good, not great. The end was surprising. I wish there was more to Mount. I don't love him. He needs more depth.

Ero divisa in due quando ho iniziato questo romanzo, una parte di me era curiosa di leggere questa serie di cui in tanti ne parlavano, dall'altra ero dubbiosa che potesse magari deludermi. Certo la base della storia e' simile ad altre già conosciute, ma quello che la rende diversa e' lo stile dell'autrice, che ha saputo distinguersi dalla massa, e creare una storia che da' dipendenza al lettore. Il finale è un colpo al cuore e fa desiderare al lettore di avere già a portata di mano il volume seguente in modo da non perdere il filo della storia. Tra Keira e Lachlan non scatta la scintilla appena lei diventa sua, anzi cerca in ogni modo di ribellarsi, perchè sa che se lui le entrerà nella testa sarà la fine per lei.
