Never would I have expected to like this book. I really enjoy post-apocalyptic fiction, but am not a fan of zombies. The only reason I gave this a chance was because the idea of a zombie romance was just too quirky to pass up.

The story ended up being, well, adorable. I loved the writing and seeing the world from this zombie's point of view. The discovery and development of the friendship between R & Julie was touching and didn't come across as unbelievable (or unnatural, which is what I was expecting).

The only weak point for me was the explanation toward the end on how zombies came to be, which I'll leave for you to discover.

If you've avoided this title because of the Zombie theme, I recommend giving it a try.

I actually really enjoyed this book. I didn’t have a TON of expectations going in, but I enjoyed it! I read it in one sitting. Initially I was thinking, “This is moving too quickly, without really explaining much.” But I think that’s the beauty of it, because so much of this book is R rediscovering what life is. I definitely think the book deserved a little more world building, but since the main protagonist is a zombie, it makes sense why it started out so… gray, for lack of a better word. I think the author did a really good job of weaving that into this book. It’s beautiful, hopeful, and reflective. It really doesn’t feel like a zombie book from R’s point of view at all.

Also, this was pretty cheesy, but it was cute. It was nice, lighthearted zombie read that I didn’t realize I needed. :)

This is the story of R and his struggles as a zombie and its told in his point of view. i think this is a really great zombie story, its quite different. through the story he starts becoming more human. He starts seeing that eating humans is wrong, gets a heartbeat and starts getting his human complexion back. It gives a new light to zombies. No one ever thought they had feelings and thoughts and even marriages. R doesn't even know if the other zombies have thoughts like his. It is a wonderful story. I recommend this book to anyone. Even people like me who are not fans of zombies.

I am afraid of zombies, but for some reason, I can't stop watching TV shows or reading books that involve them. When I read this book's description I knew that I had to get my hands on it.

As soon as I started reading it, I could hardly put Warm Bodies down; I was even reading it in bed before sleeping, which is something I never do when reading books teeming with zombies.

This book was very fast paced (without being all action) and enjoyable. The very basic concept is so original and fresh. I've never read anything from a zombie's POV, and Isaac Marion has done a wonderful job of building this world and weaving the characters in such a way that you want to finish the book in one sitting.

Now, I did have some problems towards the end, style wise, things were a little muddled and confusing, but still, overall, an excellent book and I hope the upcoming movie will be just as much of a joy.

PS - I was a big fan of the pictures from Gray's Anatomy inserted at the beginning of each chapter.
