Another enjoyable Virgil Flowers novel. A quick and easy read that keeps you interested. Maybe one or two too many twists and turns but, hey, I'm not complaining.

I love John Sandford, and enjoyed reading his books. The characters in this one were a bit annoying, but the mystery was good and the ending satisfying.

I love the Virgil Flowers character!! I like the whole crew from John Sandford, but I think Virgil is my favorite. This is the story about the Pyemart bombings. I've read it before, but I still was surprised at the ending. Great read!!

What a great book!!! Like every single one of the Lucas Davenport/Virgil Flowers novels, it was an excellent story from the first page. I've even read this one before, but could not remember until it was revealed who done it. John Sanford is just that great of a writer!

Another good Virgil Flowers novel. I thought I had it figured out...several times. People are getting blown up all over the place, and why not? Who wouldn't want to get rid of the "big-marts" of the world...small is beautiful, as Schumacher said several decades ago. Oh well, off my soapbox. Good thing Virgil was on the job, because I couldn't figure it out.

Another highly enjoyable audio featuring BCA detective Virgil Flowers. This series is consistently good and I always get a kick out of Virgil's social investigation skills. The narration was performed by Eric Conger and he did a fine job.

More policing, less womanizing in this one. This one is solved less by craft than through luck. Not sure how the marketing survey idea would work in today's noxious social media world. Too many people would love to dis their neighbors if they were assured anonymity. I have a hard time believing that law enforcement would take the time to do this.

Edit 12/30/23: Well, I've just learned that all of these witty "dedications" are to collaborators, not mere friends. I am sorely disappointed. How much of this is actually Sandford's work? Not very much. Sandford (Camp) admits in this article that the tone of the novels are set by his collaborators, who also invent the characters and lay out the "fundamental part."
