Every year, there are usually one or two graphic novels that just blow me away in terms of art. I'm pretty sure this is this year's even though it's only February. The stunning minimalist black and white inking and use of negative space perfectly capture the stark landscape and belie expert pacing. I want more.

The art is spectacular, but there isn't much depth to the story yet. Maybe in future books.

A nice, well drawn, nearly wordless comic. Going fully wordless would’ve been better.

More a 3.5 star, but yeah. I enjoyed the art work.

As a comic book, this is virtually perfect. Powerful minimalist imagery, carefully constructed layout, a story that's potent in its simplicity, and all done with virtually zero dialogue. If you're even remotely interested in comic books/graphic novels, definitely check this one out.

However, I docked half a star due to the lack of complexity or depth in the villains, who were merely evil gun-toting redneck stereotypes.

Still, as I said before, definitely give this one a look. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I certainly hope that CME continues this series.
