I really wanted to love this book. As a summer read, it's quick and easy, however the story is not surprising and I kept having to put it down as it all got too "eat, pray, love" mixed with any old "main character will die at any point now". The topic of organ donation is interesting though and I think having Maggie ponder about her Lucy (the donor) is a very true to life situation. Overall, an ok read

Actually 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the book and do agree with the subtitle. At times it seemed a bit unrealistic - (I won't describe to avoid spoilers) but looking through the lens of "serendipity magic" as one reviewer described it, the events do fit in. There were times I got frustrated with Maggie, but perhaps her ups and downs were realistic. I enjoyed traveling with her - the places she went both literally and also on her own journey. I found the journey part beautiful. I want to talk about the end without spoiling anything. Be careful as you read reviews. I will just say that as far as the story went, it was well done and fit. It is a story that will stay with me.

Like anything I’ve read lately this took a couple of attempts - I think that’s more me than the writing style. Touch of a slow starter but then off it flowed. It was a light hearted read in the end for me, a little cliched but that’s kinda the point.
Sweet, romantic, sad and happy.

Wow! This book had me smiling and also in tears. Its a heartwarming story and it made me think of others and how they may view things differently, helping me to see different prospectives. A book that engaged with me and one that I have shared the story line with people around me. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and didnt expect the ending. One I would recommend to others,
