Re-read in anticipation of the third volume in March 2020.
She's setting him up for the coming events.
What a great character. To mix pop culture, he was the Tudor Mike Ehrmantraut.

Loved this even more than Wolf Hall and very excited to pick up the final book in the series!

Fantastic! Loved Mantel’s writing. This one reads like a tense plot compared to the Wolf Hall. Now on to the next one in series.

A very slow read, and definitely no surprises if you know the period, but Simon Vance is an exceptional reader.

In this one things kick off and get a little more interesting. Though I doubt I'll ever get around to reading the 3rd book.

I enjoyed the overall story, but the author's writing style made it very difficult to follow.
