I can’t get over how good this book was! 🫠❤️😮‍💨 Lane and Hallie are adorable and I love how their story played out! There is mutual pining, “lessons” and a cast of side characters that are so hilarious!

If you’re a fan of baseball and best friends older brother romances, this book is for you! 😍💕👌🏼I can’t wait to read the next two books in the series.

Thank you so much to the author for an ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own. Homerun Proposal has a pub date of September 8, 2023!

This was my first Maren book and safe to say it did not disappoint. I read this in one sitting - and it got me out of my reading slump so what more could you want? If you like best friend\s brother, forced proximity or sports romance this book is for you. The basic premise of this book is that Hallie has never been with anyone and just wants to get out there. she moves in with her BFF Eli and his old brother Lane (you can see where this is going) and Hallie has liked Lane for years. Surprisingly, Lane reciprocates these feelings and it goes from there. Lane and Hallie are the perfect book couple and they make so so much sense together - there both extremely likeable characters which is an added bonus. The only thing that I didn't like a book was some of the vocab it used as it made me cringe but apart from that this book is everything you could want from a spicy sports romance.

This was such a great palate cleanser after a dark read.

Smutty, yet predictable.

4 stars for putting me in a happy mood.

This book was a tedious read. Usually I’m all for the guy being a simp but Lane was over the top. Don’t even get me started on Hallie. I disliked her character, big time.
