i loved the way it was written, through the eyes of scout as it really shows how she grows.

I enjoyed the book, but probably would have liked it better if I’d read it as a kid. It was slow-paced and unfocused. There’s no overarching plot, just a loose collection of events and themes. 

Tired or not, I also found it hard to believe that Atticus, a lawyer, made assumptions about what happened at the end instead of thinking to question how much the “witness” could have seen in the pitch dark.

this book gave me mixed feelings
i was hooked until the trial, then it got to the point where it was so boring that it took me a month to read 70 pages
