I expected the book to be pretty bad but it did exceed my expectations. It's not my usual genre, but for what it is I think it's okay. The ending was quite interesting but sad. I like the use of a cyclical structure with its double meaning, as well as the range of metaphors and language techniques.

best enjoyed if you know absolutely nothing about it. would've given it a higher rating if the writing style wasn't so fing annoying, but all things considered, this was a good read.

It was a good story, unfortunately, I wasn’t the target audience for this. It’s very YA-coded mystery. While it was fun to see the plot unravel, I found there were some plot holes I couldn’t wrap my head around (which may be entirely my fault, but anyway).
