Better than I expected with some good twists & turns.
I've persevered with this series due to everyone raving about it & and going off how much I enjoy the Lux series. And I'm glad I did.....looking forward to [b:Apollyon|9897164|Apollyon (Covenant, #4)|Jennifer L. Armentrout|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1350101819s/9897164.jpg|14789350]
Never understood the "team" hoopla...never thought Seth was even in the running.

Holy CRAP!!!!!! I officially wanna gut Seth from nose to naval with one of those daggers dipped in Titan's blood. I don't care if he's the fucking First Appolyon(sp?) He has NO right to take over Alex like that and instill his will on her. I hope she gets back her sense and sticks it to him good!

Well, what can I say!? I love this cover as much as I loved the previous ones in this series. I really like that they all perfectly fit together and once you read the story behind the beautiful cover, you'll also notice that the smokey flowers are not just pretty but resemble the story in their very own way. I also really like the mix between simplicity and bright colours.

At first, I was a bit sceptical as many people say ’Deity’ is the dull part of this series but honestly, the very talented Jennifer L. Armentrout did it again. She captured me with her stunning writing style and didn't let me go until I read the very last word. And even afterwards, I couldn't stop thinking about what happened in 'Deity'.
In book 3 you will notice, that the twisted fate of Alex and Seth starts to reveal itself more and more. The story takes a very cruel turn at the end, which is very unexpected and quite dramatic for the involved characters. To say that I‘ve been caught off-guard would be the understatement of the year.

This part might be a little bit slower than the rest of the books but in my opinion it is absolutely necessary for the further development of the story and to keep up with the sudden and extreme plot twists.

Mostly, you will come across well-known characters from the previous books, such as Alex, Aiden, Seth, Deacon, Lea, and Marcus. But you will also come across Lucian - Alex's cruel stepfather - again. And I have to say, I really - REALLY - hate him!
As the story continues, you won't meet too many new characters. Though you will discover many, many new character traits in each and every person. Some are good ones, others are quite bad or even scary ones. And each and every one of them goes through their very own journey and handles it in their own way. Some grow with the stones thrown in their way. Others? Well, not so much...
I guess you just have to find out for yourselves, as I don't want to spoiler you :)

'Deity' is a twisting and heartbreaking turn in the story. Gosh, the end left me speechless and teary-eyed, keep your tissues handy!
I definitely recommend this book to everyone, who likes an action-filled, thrilling, and romantic fantasy book. In my opinion the 'Covenant' series shouldn't be missing in any bookshelf and it for sure is one of my all-time favourites.

I’m looking forward to read book #4 in Jennifer L. Armentrout’s ‘Covenant’ series. I can’t imagine what the author has in store for her readers.
