Would have given 5 stars, but the ending was lackluster.

The book itself turns about to be about what one would expect from a young adult thriller. I started it in the morning, and finished it that afternoon. It is easy to read, and especially fascinating. A must-read for those who are a fan of "found footage" horror.

Listened to the audiobook. Maybe a 2.5 I don’t know if I see myself continuing with the rest of the series…thankfully this was a library book and not something I $$

Totally Disappointed.

The characters were not fully developed, or necessarily like-able. Not all characters have to be like-able, but there wasn't even one that I connected with. Their friendships and bond was unbelievable and that took away from the entire story.

The plot sounded interesting, but took forever to find it's way. It was built up to be very interesting and then we spent days following the characters around there classes without a hint of the original plot. The twists throughout were unexpected. But not in that "this is a suspense novel lets blow your mind with something wildly interesting and unexpected", more "oh shit I need to speed this up and get to the point" unexpected.

This looked amazing, but it fell short. Is it worth a read? Maybe if you want to blow through something and be bored by the end of it.

This book is amazing. I started reading it because of the cover and I liked the little pictures inside (like Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children). I'm not much of a fan of 3rd person but that didn't stop me from reading this. The only things I have to say I didn't like is how hard it was to keep track of some of the characters and how the introduction of some characters were either rushed or not explained in detail. For instance, one character, I had to go back a few chapters because I totally missed the introduction of the character and I had no clue who he was.
