This was a great mystery but I did find it hard to keep track of the story sometimes! First it seemed that Alfred Ingelthorpe was the murderer, then Dr Bauerstein, then John Cavendish, then back to Mr Ingelthorpe! All of the new evidence that kept being introduced was muddling my brain, especially when they explained the whole crime at the end! I still really enjoyed it though and it was a nice short book :)

My first ever official book as I called it, felt like I was reading a "big peoples book" as I read it when I was in 12 years old. I loved it a lot I think the queen of mysteries Agatha Christie rocks every book.

This is the first Agatha Christie book I read. It was coincidentally the first case of Poirot's too.
My review:
Well, 1/3rd of it was a little slow and then it picked up w.r.t the mystery. The vocab is not too difficult. I had to look up some words in the dictionary. I did find some cleverly-used idioms. Not too gripping though, maybe I had too many hopes on this well known author.
Overall, a decent book.

The narrator was purposely an unreliable narrator (he was a complete idiot and very full of himself, which skewed his opinion on things), but it made the novel somewhat irritating to read.
