I admit that I have never read any books by this author and actually never heard of this author prior to receiving this for review but this novella sounded interesting so I decided to give it a shot.
I am so glad I read this because wow! I loved this hot and sexy novella . It is very well done and I just had to go add a bunch of Elizabeth Naughton’s book to my to buy list .

This is a stand alone and I highly recommend

I always love starting a book by a new author, it is like a new relationship! But I have loved all the 1001 Dark Nights authors I have read so far so this was a no brainer to pick up! This book and author does not disappoint and I cant wait to read the rest of this series. I have not read any other books in the series and found this book easy to get into. Once I started the story and characters chemistry made it so I did not want to put this book down! This book focus on Marco and Felicity who have a presence in the rest of the series from what I have read. Macro is the best kind of dark Alpha and Felicity is a feisty and smart heroine. This story weaves not only a love story but suspense and action that will keep you turning the page! I cant wait to read the rest of the series to see what happens!

A well written and entertaining backstory to the House of Sin series

I loved, loved, loved the House of Sin books, and couldn't miss out on this. I wasn't sure if it involved characters I knew or if they would be totally new to me. If you've read the books then you'll know who I'm referring to when I say that these were my second favourite couple. This doesn't have the darkness of the rest of the series, but it was really good to find out how Marco and Felicity first met.

The writing is excellent, as I always expect from this author, whilst the plot had plenty of depth, twists and turns. The pace held my attention throughout and I really enjoyed reading this.

I do think the House of Sin trilogy needs to be read BEFORE this. Surrender can be read as a stand alone but the threat and intrigue of the Entente isn't fully explored in this book. Even those this is set BEFORE Luc and Natalie's story, I felt it contained a few spoilers for those books.

At times the story did feel rushed, particularly the ending. I'm sure this is because of the constraints imposed by book length and this having to be a novella. Whilst I felt I got to know Marco and Felicity enough to feel a connection to them, I didn't really feel much emotional intensity and theirs was very much an instalove story.

Overall this is a good read, I liked it and would recommend it to others.

So this was not the book I was expecting after the end of Undone, but at the same times I am so glad that we got it. Of course the problem for you is that I am not going to tell you why this isn't the book I was expecting because while it isn't a surprise/cliffhanger type of thing I think going into the story not knowing exactly what you are getting is half the fun. I am certain that if you look it up on Goodreads though someone will give it all away, haha.

I loved this little love story and it was a great addition to the series. I loved how it is it's own story with in the world and yet felt completely separate, there is no reason that you couldn't pick this book up at anytime are read it, you will not be spoiled in any way when it comes to the House of Sin series. That's actually one of my favorite things about 1,001 Dark Nights novellas.

I loved the action in the story, the intrigue, the romance. Elisabeth managed to do the near impossible and give us a full story in a novella length. I feel completely satisfied with this, there is no wanting more, it was just all there and done so well. I didn't feel like the story was rushed, the speed romance is explained so beautifully that you can't help but sigh and swoon over it. It's really hard to say anything more than just WELL DONE Elisabeth Naughton, WELL DONE.

If you are at all interested in the House of Sin series and haven't read it yet, pick this novella up to give you a little taste. If you have read the series, this is a must read addition, you don't want to miss learning about this couple.

~HAPPY READING ~

My first from this series, but not from this author!

Being a novella, there wasn't a lot of space devoted to world building, so not having read the other books I felt a bit out of the loop re: what the Houses are/were. (I'm still not 100% on this...) Still, this was an enjoyable story. Things happen fast--Marco and Felicity meet, feel an attraction (for him it's pretty instant), are drawn into a mystery, are put in danger, and figure out who's behind it all--but overall it didn't end up seeming overly rushed, despite the short time frame. The characters were likable, and I heard just enough about the mysterious Luc to want to pick up his story (book 1--[b:Forbidden|38196127|Forbidden (House of Sin #1)|Elisabeth Naughton|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1516826031s/38196127.jpg|59861539]) soon! Undoubtedly the other two will follow it onto my TBR.

Rating: 4 stars / B+

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Marco Garcia has his eye on the prize. Felicity isn’t sure her life will ever be the same again. If you’ve read the House of Sin series than you’ll want this added to your library. But if you haven’t, that’s ok because this gives you enough that you’ll want to check out the series anyway.

You wouldn’t think that a novella could be a page-turner but this author will prove you wrong. We have plot twists, revelations and an ending that really isn’t one. In order to get a full sense of what the House of Sin is all about you’ll need to read the first three books (and those should be read in order). This book gives the background of the secondary characters seen there. And this leaves you wanting to see more of Marc and Felicity – fingers crossed.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

This is a House of Sin novella introducing us to Marco and Felicity‘s beginning. These two both see the lightning but their reaction baffles me.

I am just amazed at the well written drama that fills the pages of this series. Great characters! I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from this fantastic author.

SURRENDER, a House of Sin prequel novella by author Elisabeth Naughton, is packed full of action, passion, and intrigue galore. Part of the 1,oo1 Dark Nights series, SURRENDER is a tasty treat, short but sweet, and guaranteed to keep you flipping pages.

SURRENDER is my first foray into House of Sin world, and I am actually really glad. I didn't know that it was a prequel when I picked it up, but this book is the perfect introduction to these characters and the circles that they travel in.

Marco and Felicity have chemistry in spades, and that she is also smart and successful in her own right made me like her even more. The two of them just really click from the get-go, and I am interested to delve deeper into the series to see how their relationship evolves.

SURRENDER is a quick but very well-written read, and I enjoyed it very much. As a fan of romantic suspense, I would recommend it without hesitation, and look forward to reading more in this series.

Surrender is Marco and Felicity's novella from the House of Sin series. This quick read is action packed and super sexy. If you've read the series, this novella gives the back story of how Marco and Felicity came to be. If you haven't read the series, then this is a good introduction.

Felicity and Marco have a very strong foundation and were willing to sacrifice their relationship for the greater good.

Good novella, I enjoyed it.
