I really wanted to get into this first book then the rest of the series but I couldn't connect to the storyline or the characters at all unfortunately. Perhaps I'll try again at some point in the future because so many people adore this series and I do like the overall series set-up of being a book about each sister's past.

The depiction of Asperger's, which by the way is just autism, is disgusting

Its a good book, discovering the past heritage of a girl who was a doptef by a wealthu, single man. I wouldnt say this is my cup of tea though.

Riley's first novel in the 'Seven Sister's series follows eldest sister, Maia, as she heads to Brazil following a mysterious clue about her heritage left by her late adoptive father. A historical romance that weaves together themes of love, acceptance, and self discovery.
