What I loved about this book: reflective writing style on the different ways men and women are viewed. Power and what they does to a person.
What I wanted more: connection to literally any other person in her life. I don’t exactly know why but her connections felt shallow to me and it left me wanting more. I felt like the book was trying to be too many things at once.
Also, if you’re not down to read about south Chinese sea politics I would recommend skipping this one. That is the majority of this book and I found it difficult to follow at times (also cause it took me SIX MONTHS?!?! to finish).
