I really enjoyed reading this book! I often find that mystery books are predictable, but there was a lot of twists and turns that I didn't see coming. The author kept me on my toes the whole time I was reading and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.

I found that the writing was a bit silly at some parts but the plot itself made up for it.

this book! so good!

the author did SUCH a good job with the twists and turns…

i honestly loved liam at the beginning, but as he got increasingly more possessive and sensitive, i started having a bad feeling about him…. and i was suspicious of andrew at different points, but i’m glad they came out okay at the end….

detective jackson was so cryptic throughout the book that i was honestly so surprised that he had cracked the case for a while before eva/laura figured it out… but i was glad he was a good guy at the end and stood with eva/laura.

and of course, i am happy that eva/laura ended up with jacob. he treats her so well and modeled forgiveness in a way that was so good for eva/laura’s soul…. i also was content with how they ended the book with the adoption details and lily…. i felt like it was right that they closed that door on the adoption, but left eva/laura and lily open to a new relationship…

p.s. i read THE most intense part accidentally at like 12:30am last night and then couldn’t sleep for a half hour…. but that means it was really good! and kinda scary haha… thanks christina :) i don’t recommend reading this at night, especially in a house you don’t know well lol

p.s.s. i’d love to reread this book again sometime, knowing what i know now :)
