Raziel (H), an elder vrakken (vampire), lives among his kind underground and is sent to the surface world of Protheka to investigate a magic shift. He is captivated by Selene (h), a singer enslaved by a dark elf master to perform in his circus, and spirits her away. As the pair spend more time together, Raziel falls for Selene and will do whatever he has to to protect her, even if it means deceiving his own kind. Lovely romance, but for me it will be an HFN since Selene's mortality will eventually come into play. And that last Soren chapter worries me a bit.
