Another great single issue Rhino story is what stands out here. The Vulture story is pretty average except for a twist that comes when Peter tries to help JJJ.

I'm kinda of skimming these tbh. But I do like the Rhino storyline

Idk I just really enjoyed this one. I love what they did with rhino and morbius and I liked the vulture origins at the end.

The vulture story was probably my least favorite in this collection and this weird vulture is less of a character than a tool used for gore. However it was neat to see Morbius again and I especially loved both the stories of Rhino and Flash. The theme I got from both stories is one of growth and endurance, something that spiderman himself needs to go through.

More of a choppy anthology feel than any of the other Gauntlet volumes but enjoyable, some parts of unexpected characterisation if villains and others for results of villainy.

I was a big Spider-Man fan as a child because I enjoyed the juggling of Peter’s rubbishness at daily life and usually small scale heroics. It’s nice to be reminded that when at its best the comic still juggles these well: this is as good a catch up to the universe as you’re going to get, and as good a storytelling you’re going to find in a universe which constantly has to reset itself to go on because no one can ever really age. A nice mixture of art types too. I really enjoyed this
