An accessible and extremely helpful book on spiritual practices. Barton is sufficiently specific about how to take these practices for a test run. Here is a great place to learn new ways to make yourself more available to what God wants to do in you and in your life.

I really enjoyed this book. It is worth owning to be able to go back and reflect on the different practices. I love that she ended every chapter with a practice section, it was very helpful. I am excited to continue to reflect and build in some Sacred Rhythms into my life.

Can't believe I had to read this for a graduate level class. I'd recommend it, maybe, to a brand-new Christian who doesn't read for pleasure but wants information on spiritual disciplines.

Great book on practicing spiritual disciplines. Recommend reading it slowly to practice exercises habitually. Chapters on scripture and honoring the body were my favorite

So good. A simple, yet very well written and fresh perspective on developing sacred rhythms to grow one’s soul. Literally anyone, regardless of their schooling or spiritual maturity, can glean from this work!
