I struggled for a little bit with the "story within a story" aspects, but it was a good read about the ramifications of colonialism, told through memoirs and misadventures.

Good plot - seeing a post colonial world from both the city and the random rural village was interesting. But very stream of consciousness-y and high literature. Honestly without the introduction explaining some of it I wouldn’t have gotten some of the themes out of it. Good novel though for a short read.
