A good storyline. However, I believe there was too many monologues within the book and not as much character interaction I would have liked. Pretty good spicy scenes. I did like the FMC had realistic reactions.

I DNF’d this book pretty early on. A male author writing from a female POV is already tricky enough. But when it’s a male author writing from a female POV, and the FMC is gushing over the MMC who is an author who writes romance… it essentially just feels like a book written about how the author wants a woman to view HIM… like he’s really just writing his own who onto paper.
It was pretty cringe and I couldn’t do it for that reason alone, but maybe the story line gets better? I’ll never know.

Perfection!
It was so relatable in some aspects. And I was almost in tears near the end.
There were a couple of grammatical errors but it didn't take away from the story at all. Best book I've read so far this year!

Seriously?!!?
This is not my first BDSM book, nor is it anywhere close to being my first cishet romance novel. But it is the first of those written by a male author. So many men have tried to make these leap into a world they simply have no right to or belong in. WS Greer is a BIG exception to that rule. He spends pages talking about consent and open communication between Nas and Alina, takes you on a roller coaster of mind-blowing erotica mixed with rapid-fire emotional bullets that both make you wonder how you could ever live without the strength of the main characters' relationship. I can't wait to check out the rest of his books!!!

Okay so I saw this book on tiktok and really liked the way the author marketed it! I thought let's give it the college try.
DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Whoot! It was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not sure if everything in it is for me personally but I really loved the way it was written.

If you like BDSM stories, you’re sure to like this one. And if you’ve never read BDSM, this is a good one to start with. WS Greer is a talented writer with some excellent ideas.
