A quick and easy read. Good for getting back into reading regularly. The last act reads like a travel blog, which I wasn’t a fan of.

I liked this one perhaps more than the first one. Definitely read the TWs but don't let them deter you too much. I'd say its HEA- even though it's about Maude. Read them in order, you won't regret it.

Maud is an intriguing character. I thought I knew who she was after the first book, but this one turned my initial thoughts upside down.

I liked it up until the very end. The last 30 pages really brought the rating down. I gave it a 3.5 elsewhere but Goodreads hasn’t caught on to the half star fun.

Spoiler Maud gets very white savior-y at the end when she swoops in to save a random South African family she happened to meet. It’s just giving ‘Instagram in the summer of 2020’ vibes with the performatism.
