cambridge set and full of philosophy of science thoughts, pretty much all I can ask out of a free book from a box on my favourite street in town

Dnf. I started this one on the recommendation of a friend but I just disliked the main character too much to be engaged by it. I might go back to it sometime.

A complex tale of mental health and its consequences which divides your allegiance between the law and human compassion. The narrative is best absorbed in larger sections - reading in a dip-in, dip-out fashion is less rewarding.
Beautifully written, as can be anticipated from Faulks.
