Haunting, Beautiful, & Heartbreaking poetry about the joys and sorrows of being a brown trans femme person in a racist, transphobic, femmephobic society.
Only reason it wasn’t fully 5 stars was I wanted it to be a tad longer. It felt like there were 5-10 poems missing. Will continue reading anything/everything else they publish!

Alok has such a way with words. The poems in here are such powerful commentary on their experience and the systems that conspire to kill people of marginalized identities. I think I’ve read some of these poems online, but I love the print format.
