i love britt-marie's character. i loved her story. overall, very wholesome, funny story. i wish that britt-marie ended up with the police officer (sven?), but i do get leaving her to find herself.

It took me soooo long to get into, but I persevered, because I'd told myself there was absolutely no way I was going to DNF a Fredrik Backman book.

This book warmed my heart. It was my second book by Fredrik Backman and it confirm my first impression: Fredrik Backman is the king of characters' writing. I don’t usually enjoy reading about elder people but I just really loved Britt-Marie and her story. It was funny but still really relatable in some ways. I found that the last part was dragging down a little and, for me, the romantic elements didn’t bring much to the story but the resolving left me really satisfied.

Fredrik Backman is an amazing author and I want to read more of his work.
