⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I don't think it's even possible for me to describe how much I absolutely, unequivocally, loved this third installment of The Runed Series. Character growth and journey, world development, and plot.......everything was absolutely perfect. This is the kind of book that elicits several responses from me.
1. I want to re-read the entire series immediately because of this book, and I'm even more antsy for book 4.
2. I ignored everyone and everything, to the best of my ability while also being a responsible parent, to consume this book as fast as possible.
3. I suffered from "I have to read this as fast as possible to know what happens but also want to read it slower to enjoy it longer" syndrome. There is no cure.

The emotional turmoil and roller coaster that Cateline battles is nothing short of inspiring. Her grit and impossible drive, fueled by hope, was remarkable to read. No matter what happened to her, which was usually a 'one step forward, two steps back' scenario, she persisted. She constantly attributes her will to live/succeed to her rage, but really, deep down, it's her hope and love that propel her forward. Without those two things, the rage wouldn't exist.

The relationship between Caius and Cateline was organic, balanced with their sweet moments, tension and chemistry. the action was well-paced throughout, and you can feel the adrenaline, fear, terror, rage, grief, sadness, joy, relief, and all other emotions tackled.

If y’all thought the first two books of this series had you in their clutches, then you better read this one with the same expectations.

This book picks up with the second leaves off, with Cateline trapped after falling through the portal to the Fallen Kingdom. It made me feel all the feels. All of them. Anger. Love. Hatred. Joy. Sadness. All of them.

But also… Cauis has my whole dang heart. The whole thing. I love him and he’s probably the closest thing to a book boyfriend I’ll ever have.

So ready for book 4. I need it ASAP.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I went on a rollercoaster of emotions, and the ending was the perfect cliffhanger. I am hooked!!

Brianna, I want to thank YOU personally for bringing Caius into my life. That man has had a chokehold on me since he was introduced in the Rune Thief, and it’s only getting worse. 😩 I need him.

I’m so anxious to read Varin’s POV. He’s always been such a complex character to me, and after that ending, I NEED to know what that man was going through while we were following Cateline and Caius.
Overall, I’d say this is a MUST-READ!
