The original vampire stories of the 1800s have been an inspiration for many writers over the year. These are classic gothic fiction and are written in beautiful prose , I loved these, the language is so poetic.
Like Shakespeare it can take while to get into the rhythm of the writing but once it clicks they flow through your brain, I found them so relaxing even whilst the content is unnerving and creepy.

Authors include: Bram Stoker, Edgar Allen Poe, Edith Wharton, Sheridan Le Fanu, Arthur Conan Dooyle.
