This is what I call a sifter. There was lot of typical C.S. Lewis ultra-Christianity going on here, but if you sift through the dogmatic theology, there are actually some astute observations about humanity. It's written in bite-sized chapters, so easy to sit down, read one, digest it and then tackle the next one when you're ready.

I mean its basically about a worm talkin to another worm about how to be destructive to the human race and infiltrate hearts. A little insight into the minds of the grubs (demons) that the Devil sends after us. We will prevail!!! No worms welcomed in my house.

I knew this book was religious going in…. And I know I have no right to complain about religious it is… but I didn’t like it. But Lewis still gets three stars for the part where Screwtape turns himself into a centipede, that did make me laugh out loud.

It is definitely complicated but it really helps with understanding how Satan tempts Christians into sin.
