Re-reading as an adult as I enjoyed the series as a kid.

This book is much better than the first. Less fatphobia but that's probably because we spend less time with Franz.

It was nice that all the kids got there own things to do in the finale.

With most of the book set away from HIVE though I do miss the references to school life and classes.

not my fav HIVE book but still pretty solid. this was the Cypher part of the entire plot line and we start to realise what Number One is doing

Really excellent. Walden should be a more highly rated author than he is, I think is he made the move into more solidly YA he would definitely be up their with Horowitz. Another fantastic, action-packed instalment in this series. Walden has a struck the perfect balance between possible and impossible, blending little bits of plausible science into his most implausible creations.

These are just so fun and engaging to read. I have devoured them as audio-books. Would 100% recommend for adults who like a good action novel without the need to remember a complicated cast of baddies, or any teens in your life.

Excellent wee story, full of the type of adventures you expect from a school for villains.

This reminds me of Andy Briggs's villain.net series, but H.I.V.E. is in another league! Slightly predictable but brilliant none the less!
