I’ve never wanted to finish a book so fast in my life. This book was so bad, and it had me racing to finish it. I was cringing the whole time and I would’ve DNFd this book if I wasn’t half way though it. This book was like reading a wattpad book an 11 year old wrote.

I had such high hopes for this just to be so disappointed in the end. The writing was very immature, and the characters were not it.

OMGGGGGG!!! I’ve always loved Monica since I picked up Crew, I quickly fell in love. I can say Knox is right up there with crew on my list. This book was great start to finish. I loved Jo Jo and Knox together and separate. Joanna is the sweet smart girl who Knox just can’t get out of his head after bookstore encounter.
This book had it all.
SLOW BURN to the max and that’s just the way I like it!

I couldn’t be more grateful to have received the ARC for this book!
Here’s to hoping cam gets a book

Not for me
Start was promising - than at 40% it went downhill to extremely boring

I don’t have much to say on this one. It was a perfectly average sports romance. I think it definitely got better as the book went on, but I found the first part to be incredibly cliché.

The book felt like the stereotypical nerdy girl x jock trope, complete with the FMC, seeing insecure about how she looks, and a jock, who was a player until he met her. There is nothing wrong with that kind of plot line, I just felt like this book didn’t add anything new to it.

One thing I did like about the book is that it was character driven over plot driven. There weren’t any big physical obstacles that the couple had to overcome, only obstacles within themselves which I feel is different from other sports romance books.

Overall, I’m happy I picked it up, I was definitely itching for a football romance after watching the Super Bowl and this delivered!

Pretty good read! My second Monica Murphy book and I enjoyed this one a lot more. It felt a tad slow in the beginning, I wasn’t sure if I’d like it but I did suck read this so it could’ve been the meds lol.

Football star falls for the quiet girl, pretty standard trope but this had a bunch of little things that made me enjoy it. Knox and Joanna’s first few meetings formed their own little meet cute. They had a natural progression, they communicated well for still being young. All of their friends were also mature and supportive. It was just a good, almost wholesome story, no unnecessary drama or the dreaded third act breakup. Overall just a good easy read!

I felt like Joanna was a bit of a pick me at times but other than that the book wasn’t too bad

We stan cinnamon roll college football stars. Knox is truly the sweetest human on earth and set the bar entirely too high for book boyfriends. He’s incredibly protective of the people he loves. And when it came to Joanna was so supportive and lovey dovey, I swooned. I love a he falls first type of book and this one did not disappoint.

They’re entirely each other’s champions and just ugh. Knox and Joanna are stupid cute together. To the point where it was just gross. Like how dare they be that adorable and in love. That’s just not fair!

I have no intelligent words. It was just adorable. Highly recommend if you need something light and cutesy.
