Getting to know Nicky was absolutely amazing. Who would have known? He was such a brat in the earlier book! I absolutely loved this story. It was told in a different style to the first book, and I liked this a lot more. The character's were unique and I got a real sense of who they were. The little snippets of the previous story were also done well.
Loved this from beginning to end!

The Luckiest is the second book of the Lucky Moon series. There are things I liked better about this book than the first and there were things that weren’t as good, but all in all I was very happy with Nick’s story and LOVED his man Luka!

I liked the fact that in this book we get both Nick and Luka’s perspective of the relationship, and even though Nick may be a little shit, he is finally redeemable and I love those kind of stories. Nick is the annoying little brother Shane (one of the MC in the first book) and the bass player of the band Luck. However, Nick has been abandoned a lot in his life, so when the only constant in his life, Shane, finds his life partner, Nick goes off the deep end and finds himself in rehab. Enter the lovable nutritionist of the rehab facility Luka.

In many ways this book is about Nick growing up and learning to be comfortable with who he is. Luka also has to learn to trust again after having his heart broken by a cheater. Because of this struggle there is more angst in the book than this first, but the secondary characters in this story are lovable and relatable. Also, there are some really cute doggies that steal the scene. I am happy that I got to read these two stories about hot, gay, rockers and I can’t wait to read more stories within the Lucky Moon world!

I liked this one even better than the first one. Loved watching tough, crazy Nick settle down in his own skin. Sure, sometimes I felt like shaking him, but he's man, so that's just natural.

Re-read 4/16/14 for Re-Romancing the Faves Challenge. Sigh... I LOVE Nick. And my heart breaks for Luka every time I get to the Gil Kelley part. These two are so great together, and I love how Luka changes Nick. I wish he pulled his head out of his a$$ a bit earlier, but his final apology makes up for it all. And these two are so damn hot together!

Read Originally 4/29/12: I really wasn't a Nick fan even from the first book, but he grew on me. Yes he was a jerk, but Luka had his faults too. The whole birthday party thing... Luka should have at least given Nick a chance to talk to him. I get him kicking Brent out and being upset; but, for all his bitching about Nick being a jerk, he wasn't much better himself.

Any chance we get an Em and Surya story? Or maybe set Jeana up with Dre?!

Nick's attitude stinks! And he lands in a heap of trouble because of it. Rehab for this bad boy where he meets the unwavering Luka. They are a perfect match. Nick can't hide behind his public persona when it comes to Luka. Luka sees right through it. I enjoyed reading Nick's story. I loved Shane and Jesse and I love Nick and Luka.

I loved this book, the first one was great but this one was even better. Nick and Luka were perfect for each other, even though Nick made me want to throw my Kindle a few times. Luka bless his heart he was the best and put up with so much from Nick. Nick was lucky to have him....I laughed, cried and was so angry not really angry at Nick but angry how he lived his life which wasn't all his fault, but he grew so much it was great to see. That's what makes a book great when it can put you through all them emotions and also when I wasn't reading it I was wondering what everyone was doing. I'm glad it ended so I could find out what happened but also sad because it ended, but I'm so glad there's going to be another book in the series.

I find Luka quite annoying. He has all these expectations he never voices and when they aren't met, he takes the easy route and leaves. No explanation why what Nick did was a mistake, no waiting to hear reasons or excuses or whatever. Irritating. Bratty.

Spoiler"You're telling me you never cheated on anyone before?" Luka asked dubiously.
"No. I haven't. You know why? Because I've never fucking dated anyone before. I told you that. I can't cheat if I'm not in a fucking relationship."
"But you've slept with multiple people at a time?"
"Yeah," Nick answered with a shrug. "What difference does it make?"
"That makes you just like him."

I loved this book and knew I was going to love it after just one chapter!
This is the story of bad-boy rock star Nick who needs to spend months in rehab where he meets Luka, the nutritionist.
The writing style drew me in. I could feel Nick's pain while at the same time laughing at the humour of his internal dialogue (loved the scene where he is filling out the forms for his doctor!). Nick's character, is filled with pain and struggling to adjust to changes in his life. He appears selfish and childish but so very vulnerable.
Luka is supportive and protective of Nick but has his own pain from being hurt in the past. He is a gentle character but also a firecracker in bed!
The story follows Nick's journey as he puts his past behind him to give his heart to another and Luka learning to trust.
"What they had was rare, imperfect and beautiful and scary all at once. It was hard to say those things out loud and know the right words to use. But that was ok. Because when two people found each other, two people who were meant to be, words didn't even matter anymore. They just knew. And that was the luckiest thing of all."
4.5 stars because there are gorgeous rockers, cute dogs, misunderstandings, hot sex and HEA

I loved this book. I thought it was very well written. I will say I didn't read the first book before this so I hadn't read anything with Nick in it before.

I fell in love with both him and Luka. I loved the lead up to them getting together, reading them falling in love with each other.

I loved seeing Nick go from this loud-mouthed asshat to someone who is more himself, to letting his walls down enough for Luka, others in the book, and the readers got to see who the real Nick Ventura was.

Luka was the kindest, sweetest guy, at the same time that he didn't take any shit. I loved that he had such a strong backbone, that he didn't just swoon into Nick's arms everytime he apologized, that he made Nick work to show Luka just how much he loved him, that he loved him at all.

The only thing I was slightly bothered by is that I think Luka could have given Nick a little more time to be comfortable and ready to come out, but then at the same time I loved that he wasn't willing to go in the closet for Nick, but made it clear that Nick could, that was his choice, and choosing not be in the closet was his choice. It gave me very complicated emotions. Ultimately I loved Luka's choice in what to do, I just had a little nagging thought that he could have given Nick a little bit more time. But it all worked out for the better in the end, and Nick proved himself and then some.

I thought the ending
Spoilerwhen Nick declared his love for Luka in front of the crowd was the sweetest, most adorable thing and I loved it
was beautiful and I loved how Nick and Luka got their happy ending to start the rest of their lives.

I definitely recommend this book, it is a really good read. And the awesome, passionate, wild, sexual-tension filled sex doesn't hurt either. It was *whew* very hot and very much worth the wait.
