Hooked in the beginning, but lost some interest towards the end. Loved the idea for the book and the characters were very lovable. Almost wished the murder aspect of the book was played into a little more. It wasn’t equal parts, mostly romance, which might have been better for the demographic.

4 Stars- A Dark Gory Romance Comedy 

This book isn't for the faint hearted, full of gore, murder, assault, accidental cannibalism and more (Check the content warnings) but is full of brilliant banter between our two main characters where two serial killers fall in love while hunting other serial killer. A book where he falls first and finds over the course of many years their relationship move from competition to friends and the lovers. Some parts of the relationship development does appear to happen off page, as our character feelings change. However this does not change the enjoyment of the relationship between the two characters. 

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and its a light hearted dark romance that ticks a lot of boxes for me.

Plus at the beginning of the book you have a playlist to listen as you read! Which honestly i enjoyed so much!

This book is the perfect mix of gore, smut and humor and loved every second. Not for squeamish folks but is definitely for those who like there comedy super dark.

I thought about 3 stars but I had to really push myself through the beginning… I liked the characters, but some stuff just felt too unbelievable for their lifestyles/personalities.

this book was soooooooooooooo unhinged and I was absolutely here for it!

highly recommended for the kinky straight people

With the whole David twist, I imagined being a serial killer in this universe and getting stressed leading up to August in case the Butcher & Blackbird come after me! I love the vision of all the criminals being SO stressed while this lovey-dovey couple is just skipping through a field of flowers, swinging their blades around and leaving a trail of blood and dead bodies behind them.

Also, you could absolutely replace Sloane with Celaena and Rowan with, well, Rowan and this would make perfect sense to me.

This is really unpolished and erratic, needed lots more editing. I get the appeal because it is like a fun fanfic but I don’t love the character or world already so I need some actual plot and character development beyond banter and action sequences and then sex scenes with no buildup or tension.
