This book is about two characters from the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy. Adorable short story of Zuzanna and Mik's first date. It was fun to spend time with these characters again and it has the charm of Laini Taylor's other books.

Okay so this was just as amazing as the first time I read it and it made me really want to re-read Daughter of Smoke & Bone.

I love Zuzanna! I think she's really funny and weird. I love how she thinks and I'm glad that she actually likes being weird.

I also like Mik. He's not your typical male romance. He's a bit meek and I love that. I love that Zuzanna was the one to make the first move.

I also love how they are both creative. I love that they also used their skills to woo each other. Zuzanna with her puppets and Mik with his violin! :D

I absolutely love everything in this series and this was just a glorious, beautiful thing from beginning to end. I love getting it from both their points of view, how they view each other, what lengths they go to, the surprising moments and the perfection about things happen in their own time, no matter what you plan or plot into being.

This was an adorable short story, which only took me about an hour to read. I love the author's writing style -- Although it can be a bit flowery at times, it's so descriptive and even a bit whimsical. I also really enjoy that this book (and others in the Karou series) are set in Prague, a picturesque and interesting city. Zuzana and Mik are a great couple, and it was fun to learn more details about their "first night". Thumbs up :)

I actually enjoyed this novella a lot! it was very cute and light and magic and rabid. I was very invested in following along with zuzana/mik ‘s narrations. I also really liked the writing.

I liked it! The illustrations were on point. It was, however, slightly disorienting after the angst and drama of shadow and bone. The illustrations are also beautamous!
