Look y’all, the spice was spicy but the plot was not it for me. I think if it had ended at the first chapter of the epilogue I would have liked it more, but alas.

The other thing I didn’t love was the narration. I don’t specifically lower my ratings because of not vibing with narrators, but something about the character accents didn’t work for me.

Not Sarah Blue’s best. I’d recommend  One Pucked Up Pack  over this novella. 2.5 stars

How many times can we name drop companies? If this is supposed to be the first book for Heat Haven, I feel like most of the book should have taken place at the facility and the elevator getting stuck scenario would have been better for when another Alpha that joins their pack after getting to know Emily and Griffin. Which I say loosely as I they didn't feel like characters. Also the sex scenes felt like they were just describing what was happening and not really anything else. DNF

This was fine. More spice than plot. Basically no conflict or character development.

The alphas are racially diverse and there are MM as well as FMM pairings.

My first true omegaverse experience (sorry Squeak) and wow wow wow wow. I know this was short but I was hooked from the beginning. We jumped right into the story and the action and I enjoyed every second of it. A solid 4-star. It sparked my interest in the series and I binged the whole thing.

3.5 out of 5 ☆’s.

”Emily’s perfume takes over the room and she sighs. “I love elevators.””

This little novella was quite enjoyable!

I adored all of the characters that we were introduced to, but I do wish that the story was a tad bit longer so that we would’ve been able to spend some more time with them & explore Dion + Franklin + Kenji’s characters more!

I cannot wait to continue this series! ♡

From the random italics to half the pack being introduced in the fucking EXTENDED EPILOGUES, this book was just not for me.
It had a Wattpad feel in that way: accidentally making whole ass paragraphs italics. Introducing a second, possibly less important love interest in the middle of the book for the sole reason of pack dynamics (?) and omega nature, drama with random men and women who are not part of the pack and lastly introducing two more love interests in the extended epilogue.

(Information: most of the (bad) content warnings are about the FMCs past relationship and/or a man who is neither a love interest nor a member of the pack they start here. Just to make clear that the love interests are not abusive)
