hmm yeah I think it's a solid 3? I didn't hate it but I also didn't care for it lol.

I felt kinda bored most of the time, and the MMC didn't end up growing on me. I did like the FMC and the other guy that joined her heat even tho he didn't have much page time. and the two characters at the very end sounded interesting but they literally had like two chapters? idk what the point of that extended epilogue was bc it felt like the characters in it were added as an afterthought.

tbf, it is supposed to be a novella, and I know getting into every single character would have made it much longer, but I would rather have it end before the "epilogue" or just not introduce two more characters at the absolute last second?

Book Description:
Welcome to Heat Haven, a facility where Omegas can safely go through their heat alongside pre-screened and carefully selected Alphas.
Emily: My heat is getting closer. With heat suppressants off the table and no pack to call my own in sight, Heat Haven seems to be my only option. Can I be vulnerable enough for Alphas I don't know to help me in my time of need?
Griffin: I want a pack and an Omega to cherish. The problem? I don't like most people and I work too much. Where better to meet someone than a place where you contractually participate in a heat with strangers?

BWBH Review:

Without a pack, Emily must use Heat Haven to help during her heat. A chance meeting in a broken elevator seems to set things in motion.

Emily is at Heat Haven to select her nest. Griffin is there for his orientation. A chance meeting in an elevator sets Emily on the path to her pack.

Griffin’s level of care for Emily, and then the addition of Dion, made me swoon. They made sure Emily wanted for nothing during, and after, her heat. I also loved when Emily let her wild side out. Sarah wrote Emily’s heat as such a primal experience.

I did find Emily’s inability to curse except in a certain situation to be a little eh. I was able to get right through parts where she talked like an adult and found myself making faces when she said things like “mothersmucker”.

Heat Haven is perfect for readers who enjoy a spicy omegaverse, protective MMCs, and an FMC who’s a lady in street and a dirty girl in the sheets.
